When you’re watching one of Marvel’s big feature films, reading one of their comics or watching a T.V series set in the Marvel Omniverse you become part of that world, even if it’s just for a short amount of time. One of the biggest disappointments with this is, you’re only part of the Marvel created world in your mind but what if that was to change?

No, I’m not talking about running out and changing your DNA by gamma radiation, building a fantastic suit or going to a space station with faulty shields, I’m talking about the Marvel Experience – a mobile attraction park that’s coming to a (U.S.) city near you…

So far, Marvel aren’t telling us a lot about what will be featured in this giant arcade, reminiscent to S.H.I.E.L.D’s dome that encased Mjölnir – all we have is hints and tantalising tidbits to whet our appetite:

Canvassing a two-acre footprint of more than 80,000 square feet, this state-of-the-art, custom-built multi-Dome complex will represent the first time a venue of this type, size and scope will be utilized for a mobile tour. […] Inside, a maze of connected Domes will lead guests through an array of interactive games and original animated short films including the first-ever travelling motion-based ride, where guests become immersed in this original adventure only found in The Marvel Experience.

One of the biggest problems we face, however, is being this side of the pond – Marvel have only said that the Experience will be touring U.S. and Canadian cites in 2014, I’m hoping that this is the test run to see the public’s reaction, then maybe we’ll get a taster of it over here. No solid tour dates have been added to the site as of yet but we will keep you updated, just in case you’re in the U.S., Canada or planning a holiday.

For now, my fellow British Marvel lovers, we’ll have to stick to the dreamscapes of our minds.

About The Author

Gemma-Marie Cox

The one subject I always find hard to write about is myself, so thankfully a fellow geek friend of mine gave it a shot. "Gem is the geek you all want to meet. She's into comic books, retro gaming, zombie and sci fi movies, the Big Bang Theory, and Tolkien, (she even has the badge to prove it!) to name but a few. Aside from being extremely passionate about it, she has the amazing ability to look at everything from an outside perspective, her reviews are professional and accurate. Despite her love for all that is geeky, she'll mercilessly point out all the flaws and shortcomings of whatever she is giving her opinion on. If there is a geek you should trust, it's definitely her!"
